How Do I Upload Pictures and Avatars?

Subject: How Do I Upload Pictures and Avatars? Sat Jun 09, 2007 12:45 am

To Upload your display Picture aka avatar

Avatar is the picture you'll have on the left hand side of the page where your username is.
Signature is the message you have at the end of your replies/posts everytime.

- Click on Profile
You should come to a page of your own profile

- On the right hand side corner, you'll see:
Information | Preferences | Signature | Avatar | Topics watched

-Click on avatar
You should see:
Upload Avatar from your machine :
Upload Avatar from a URL :
Enter the URL of the location containing the Avatar image, it will be copied to this site.
Link to off-site Avatar :
Enter the URL of the location containing the Avatar image you wish to link to.
Select Avatar from gallery :

Choose the method you wanna use to download, either straight from your computer aka machine or the url you have for the picture you wanna put.

NOTE: Please keep avatars to the size restriction posted by Lorana.

For signatures, just click on signature and write what you want there~

your information is helpful, but i dont know were to get an avatar URL in the first place....

Tiffany: Apparently, you did not read the information thoroughly, only certain information. like I mention, you need to choose the picture you like first. Then go to photobucket.com or https://servimg.com, to upload and get the url.

OR upload straight from the computer. Please read carefully.

Quick question about signatures: I posted what I would like in my signature and it shows what I want it the preview, but when I post, it doesn't show up.

Am I doing something wrong?

Before you apply your signature, first go to your PROFILE>Preferences>Always attach my signature>YES>SAVE. Also make sure your BBC Code is on. And lastly did you use the [IMG] tags before the url of the signature? That could also be the problem. ^_^ Hope I solved your problem :].

url is like.......for example the url for this fc is http://www.fahrenheit-globa1.actifforum.com....its juz the web add which u see on the top of the computer... Smile

how to upload pictures to the galery??

Tiffany: which gallery are you tlking about?
If its the gallery above in the icon, it is not in use, if it is the individual gallery, just upload them onto places like photobucket.com etc and paste the link in the post. Min 5 pictures per post.

aiwa: just go to your PROFILE at the top and click on signature tab, then upload a picture

you can make one in photoshop or you can use ones made by others with permission from them/ credit them

just go to PROFILE at the top, then signature, and put in the link of the image/banner between How Do I Upload Pictures and Avatars? ............

Hi, i was wondering if someone could help me with my signature cos i wanted to put a banner there but the system said i couldn't attach it. And it is in my computer. Also,if i have forgotten the person whom i took the banner from what do i do?

you can upload the banner to photobucket and paste in the How Do I Upload Pictures and Avatars? ..

for the credits, if you are unsure, then just put unknown or the creator of banner
